Thanks for the detailed description of events and I look forward to future installments. I posted a short comment about your Heart Surgery Odyssey on my own blah,blah,blog.
My mother has told all of her friends at church about your experience. I am sure she has added detail to sort of “fill out the story.” She says some of her friends remember you from the old days. This is remarkable since few of them remember what day it is or their own mailing address.

John, I just talked with Wouter Hoeberechts (CEO of medical tourism company WorldMed Assist that facilitated John's surgery in Turkey) and heard you're doing fabulously well and scheduled to come home today, I think he said. Your blog is fantastic. I'll give you a call in a week or so to see how we can spread your story so others in your situation will know about the heart surgery solution you found.

John, I am very glad to hear how well you did. I told my brother about your trip to Turkey to get your heart fixed. He laughed out loud and said, “Sounds like John Freeman.” He has had heart attacks and years of USA treatment that have not been nearly as interesting or as inexpensive as yours. I also appreciate Martha keeping everyone informed via FB.

John, I love it when you talk medical!

I’m also very curious about everything the medical personnel do to me. At least when I ask questions, I usually get some kind of response if only a ummmm in English.

Sounds like you’ve had the best of care and in a lovely spot. You still sound like yourself – so they didn’t fix that, thank goodness.

Go John! Looking forward to the next post about the actual operation. That blockage news was disturbing, though.
Are we to assume that since this was posted 29 May and your operation was 25 May that you are still alive? I will take no answer as a bad sign …. :)
